What's in a name...?

At our AGM in November 2024, we considered ways to encourage new visitors and members. After discussions, it was decided to make a slight change to our name, on a trial basis, to 'Broadstone Gardening Club'. The previous name, 'Broadstone Horticultural Society', has sometimes been perceived to be an elitist organisation that may not welcome those new to gardening. Whilst we have always been proud of our friendliness to new visitors and our 'Friendly Gardening' subheading, we are happy to trial the new name.
